The Grind Stone functions as a manual Macerator and Pulverizer for early game ore doubling. Once startled, they'll run away from you and eventually poof out of existance. Set up something to auto-feed Certus Quartz into the Charger (hopper should suffice). I do branch mines in two different spots in FTB, level 11 and somewhere around level 40-45. A full ME system with a 5x5x5 or larger crafting computer filled. 100% get a chunk destroyer and experience pump module as a secondary form of passive experience farm.
